New York, New York

Statue of Liberty: Located on 12-acre Liberty Island in New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty was a gift of international friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States and is one of the most universal symbols of political freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886 and was designated a National Monument on October 15, 1924.

Statue of Liberty: The girls were excited to see it.

Ellis Island: Between 1892 and 1954, approximately 12 million steerage and third class steamship passengers, who entered the United States through the port of New York, were legally and medically inspected at Ellis Island.

Empire State Building: There was low visibility so this is as far as we went (the lobby).

The Bus System: Drying off from the rain.

The streets of New York: The rain will not let up.

Ahhhh, the bakery (forget the name): People seemed to love it.

Christopher Columbous Statue: Lily ran non-stop at this cement park.

Central Park: Nice buns!

Central Park: The Family.

Central Park: Me and the misses.

Some store: Summer posing next to her name.

Macy's: Macy and Grandpa

Some Restaurant: We ate like kings.

Qumana... the search continues.

Drag and drop images, text and links

Qumana's DropPad looks like a small square picture hovering on your screen. It may not look like much, but it's a powerful tool included in Qumana. The DropPad is your funnel into the blogging editor. Any images or text or links you drag & drop into the DropPad will appear in an editing window. So, while you are browsing websites, you can effectively "collect" the information without going between windows or having to cut & paste material.

I produced this blog in 30 seconds. The coolest thing I've seen this side of blogging.

Thoughts Throughout the Days

So....

I have been quiet busy this past month. I have aged yet another year, help start a company, fully submerge myself in learning of things both temporal and spiritual, and managed to help out around the house. My mind turns nonstop always thinking about the future, past, and present. In the morning when I awake, I find myself in the shower pondering many things. Most mornings Summer hurrys me up or I would stay in for at least a hour. On the way to work I no longer listen to the radio because my thoughts will not let me rest. While at work there is a never ending list of things to get accomplished only to push things back till the morrow because of lack of time. On the way home is a simultude of the morning commute. But when I return home my thoughts seem to fall away as I hear the girls call my name. This is what I wait for everyday. This is why my thoughts are thought throughout the day. To become a better person is not easy. It takes work. And I have been taught well by family to do what it takes to be a better person. I was thinking this week about my family and the work ethic, values, and determination to succeed that has been instilled in me from past generations. I am truly grateful for their example. I know my thoughts will not rest, but they will continue to increase as the days go by. I am very thankful for the ability to learn and gain knowledge.

Time Flies

It seems that everytime I post something to this blog it is way past my bed time and a full month has past.

I found these pictures a couple of days ago and really enjoyed reminiscing. It is crazy to think about the girls when Macy was born. Two and a half short years have past and my memory has faded. Hope you enjoy these pics too.

Candy Day! (i.e. Halloween)

Candy?

Candy??

Candy???

Candy.

Candy!!!

Candy.

The End.

Anyone who uses the phrase 'easy as taking candy from a baby' has never tried taking candy from a baby.

Another year past

And yet another year has past,
trying to recall those things that last.
Time spent with those for whom we care,
time well spent on time we shared.
Soon only memories will I recall,
the greatest treasures of them all.
